The Fenix HL55 Headlamp has a maximum brightness of 900 lumens from the Cree XM-L2 T6 Neutral White LED and is powered by 1 x 18650 or 2 x CR123A batteries. The HL55 is a lightweight & tough headlamp and is waterproof to 2 meters submersible, making it an ideal headlamp for all weather conditions.
The neutral white light of the headlamp means superior definition and prenetration in high humidity environements which is only aided by the 116 meter carry distance, perfect for all season backcounty and cave exploration.
Featuring four brightness levels plus burst mode, you have total command over the output and runtime of the HL55. The metal housing enhances the heat dissipation of the headtorch so that it easily sheds both heat and impact.
Operation could not be easier with the large on/off button located on the side of the head, which also controls output selection and burst.
Brightness Levels:
Burst Mode: 900 Lumens
High: 420 Lumens - 3 hour 45 minute runtime
Mid: 165 Lumens - 10 hour runtime
Low: 55 Lumens - 30 hour runtime
Eco: 10 Lumens - 150 hour runtime
Beam distance of up to 116 meters, waterproof to 2 meters submersible and impact resistant to drops from 1 meter.
Operation
- Press the side switch to turn the light on and press and hold for 0.5 seconds to turn off.
- When on, press the switch to cycle through the outputs, in order High-Eco-Low-Mid.
- Press and hold the button for over 1 second to activate Burst mode.
Includes: Side & top headbands, spare o-ring, 2 x CR123A batteries.

| Seems solid - no problems so far. There is a sealing ring that ships with it that took me a while to work out what to do with, and you have to screw the cap on pretty hard to get a connection. | |

| good quality headlamp,like the linearity of the light beam. wise to carry a couple of spare batteries obviously as this lamp only uses one. Can buy this headlamp cheaper from china but would it be a fake ? bought uk sourced, if a problem then i have a backup service. Used it on a night rock fishing session and very happy with it. was sick n tired of buying cheapo chinese cree lamps every cod season. | |

| Outstanding headtorch! Lightweight and unbelievably bright. Use it for both caving and cycling. Mostly brought for caving and as always there is the worry of using the unknown but without any external wires this thing looks like it's built to last and performed well so far on a few wet trips. It does include two CR123 batteries to test run it but I recommend getting a decent couple of 18650 and avoid the cheap knockoffs. | |
